RACHEL LOPEZ

PAST PUPIL AND GUEST TEACHER

Rachel trained at Isabelle Ashe Dance Studios. In her first-ever Ballet class at the age of twelve years, Rachel announced "this is what I want to do always....”

Despite being a late starter in dance, Rachel made-up lost ground very quickly attaining Grade Five, vocational examinations Intermediate and Advanced One in Classical Ballet and Intermediate Modern all within three years.

Rachel decided to pursue a career in dance and was delighted to be accepted into her dream College - Laine Theatre Arts in London where she attained her advanced one and Two in ISTD Modern. Rachel received a full three-year scholarship and was made Head Girl of the first year, subsequently going on to complete a Masters in Musical Theatre at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under the Leverhulme Scholarship. Rachel was trained using the Estill Model. Her most recent film and TV work was the part of Ruby in Sky Arts Les Miserables celebrating the life and work of Les Dawson. She has a level three certificate in personal training and is a certified mental health first aider.

Rachel has lived in London for many years but never forgets our dance school and we are delighted she returns to Dublin regularly as a guest teacher with us and will continue giving Master Classes in Broadway and Commercial Jazz along with Tap and Singing for us again this year. We are immensely proud of Rachel and all she has achieved, her wonderful capacity to share her knowledge and the time and energy she continues to give all our current students”.
